Strange to think I am basically basking in luxury in the alps and moving into a gorgeous house in just under 8 weeks. Is there a higher power?
I am wearing a soft grey angora jumper with beaded nordic paterns across my chest and back. I may just have turned into a hot chocolate. I don’t think that the puritans posed much of a threat to elizabeth, they were just a nuisance. On the chairlift today I recessed into the folds of my fur snood and a different kind of fix and watched the snowflakes making their way towards me. My dad has a beard and a snowflake jumper and an aviator jacket. A beautiful boy said “morning” to me at the breakfast buffet this morning and I took a turn to the bashful and practically whispered my reply.

In skilt again. It is snowing in torrents today, all of the slopes are cut up rifts of powder and I have managed a whole morning of it. I wouldn’t mind the powder, it is fun to ski in, but visibility is about 5 feet and I keep turning into rifts and losing my edge and shaking myself. I am going to go to the hotel, get my schoolwork and sit in reception with my headphones in and bash some essays out.
Endnote: My grandma is so fabulous.
Les Menuires is shrouded in a gentle but dense cloud of snowflakes. If you go out and only wear the mittens your grandma knitted for Christmas you fingers turn stiff and numb. Little children have returned indoors with their sledges. People are nursing vin chaud and discussing whether telesiege will be running and whether the esf will be out in force. On our table in hotel skilt (incidentally not our hotel, but the happy hour is better) are piles of hats, mittens, boxes of lambert and butler (around my father), saucers with tumblers and teacups galore on them. The little boy on our trip is crawling under the table, laughing his infectious three year old’s laugh. My auntie is going to give me her ugg boots because they are too small for her. Les Menuires hosted winter Olympics in 1992.
Meribel and Mottaret, skied into this valley today, then over into Courchevel and La Tania, and Val Thorens.

it turns out that i was mistaken in thinking i had any strength in my upper body or core.
well my first attempt at yoga leaves alot to be desired. i couldnt straighten my legs at one point and let out a very questionable, what can only be described as moan.
